GIWEH attended the International Labor Organization (ILO)’s conference, “Climate Change and Labor: Impacts of Heat in the Workplace,” on Thursday, April 28th—the annual day for Safety and Health at Work. The conference focused on the prevention of occupational accidents and diseases around the world. Specifically, the conference addressed the emerging challenge of changing thermal conditions due to climate change on working populations in developing countries. Possible solutions were highlighted as contributions to the implementation of the SDGs and the Paris Agreement adopted from COP21.
