GIWEH created the ICWRE in 2011. ICWRE is a series of conferences, each with its own specific theme, aiming to bridge the gap between policy, science, and practice in the field of water and environmental management. It is an effective platform for discussion for European, Middle Eastern, and African stakeholders, bringing rich diversity of experiences from all over the world to contribute to debates on environmentally-related topics on national, regional, and international scales. The ICWRE conference brings together representatives from government agencies, specialized NGOs, private companies, and academic experts to facilitate high-level discussion, and promote knowledge sharing and dissemination.
